Bene does it again! Pizza to feed a hungry group of kids! What a feast! And Salad to boot for the adults! We got the fungi and house special for adults and classic meat and cheese pizzas for the kids! The table was so quiet! We highly recommend Bene for delicious take out!
Small place, but great cocktails and Italian fare. The place fills up pretty quickly, but we enjoyed our pizza & salads. We will be back.
We really enjoy Bene. The pizza from the wood-fired oven is great and the lasagna is excellent, too. They have a good selection of spirits and a handful of tasty cocktails. The indoor dining area is a tight fit, so get there early if you don't want to be stuck outside on a subpar day.
We had reservations for 5:30 on Saturday night. Good thing! The place was packed within minutes of our arrival. Bene is known for their pizza but we tried something different, sharing the pear salad and the pesto pasta. The salad arrived first, a mountain of green with julienned pears, grapefruit sections, toasted almonds. Very fresh, very refreshing. Then came the pasta. Light noodles. Delicious pesto. We loved the Felline Sum Italian red too. We thought thre prices were reasonable for Bainbridge Island. Loved the 60s to 90s music along with the album cover decor.
We had some fabulous food at Bene's - these people are serious about their pizza and it shows! What made it extra special for me is that when I asked for an ingredient to be removed because of a food sensitivity, they didn't just remove it or say no. They actively considered how to replace the flavor with something else I could eat in order to make it as good of an experience at possible. It was very thoughtful and I have never experienced this elsewhere! We don't live nearby, but we'll definitely be back! There isn't indoor seating currently (not sure if that's just summer or all year) so dress to sit outside or do takeout. It's worth it!
Take out order. Prompt and on time. We ordered the fennel and Hawaiian, and as not a huge pizza fan myself, that was the best pizza I've ever had. The dough is thin with a thicker delicious crust. It wasn't overly greasy either. Will definitely be ordering from Bene again.
I was at a fairly large social gathering, and they served pizza and wine. Everyone went insane over the pizza. I presumed the pizza hadn't been bought on Bainbridge Island. Then one of the hosts said, "Yes it was. It's the best pizza on the Island. We always buy our pizza from Bene Pizza behind Safeway." I didn't know of any pizza parlor behind Safeway, so I looked it up. It's actually "down" from Safeway on Hildebrand Lane. We ordered take-out tonight. It was simply the BEST PIZZA EVER!... and I'm from New York. You got to try Bene Pizza!
